Business LeadersNathan Rabe General Manager Nathan came to IDSS in August 2007 with twenty years experience as a manager and leader in the international aid, development and humanitarian sector. Commencing with the UN in Pakistan in 1988, Nathan's professional life has seen him represent organizations, design and implement innovative programs and manage large teams across five continents and in a variety of development contexts. Since joining the company, Nathan has set a bold new course for IDSS by leading the development of its business in India. "While international aid has accomplished much in the past sixty years, today's world requires companies like IDSS to look and move beyond the old aid paradigm. I believe we can have a greater impact on poverty by adopting a more entrepreneurial approach to development." Nathan speaks English, Hindi and Urdu. Carol Bellew Operations Manager Carol Bellew is a dedicated and skilled aid practitioner with wide-ranging experience working with aid donors on bilateral and multilateral programs. As the Operations Manager for IDSS, Carol brings extensive background in strategic management and business development, design and development of aid and commercial programs as well as specific specialist expertise in learning and development with focuses on Vocational Education and Training, Higher Education and Adult Learning. Carol has worked across a wide range of industry sectors with both aid and commercial clients, including health, corrections, community development, building and construction, governance, finance, tourism and Hospitality and water and environment. Peter Stephen Manager, Environment Program For over 20 years, Peter has worked with private companies, government agencies, academia, NGOs and international not-for profit organisations in agroforestry, forestry, natural resource management and integrated watershed management. He is a specialist in strengthening capacity to support community-based natural resource management processes and practices and has worked across and Asia. Peter joined IDSS in 2008 to further strengthen IDSS’s work in natural resource management, climate change and the broader environmental fields in and the Asia-Pacific region. Manager of New Initiatives Sri has always seen the potential of leveraging the power and practice of the commercial world to achieve positive social change. With a solid foundation in business and a passion for social change, as Manager of New Initiatives, Sri is leading IDSS/Connell Wagner in developing a new social entrepreneurship program that is unique in . Sri is keen to work with key stakeholders in various businesses, NGOs and communities to formulate and communicate the Social Entrepreneurship vision of IDSS/Connell Wagner. Sri is able to provide expertise and insight into the workings of Australian businesses, governments and training institutions to clients and partners. Prior to joining IDSS, Sri has held various positions in business consulting and IT service management. As a Associate Partner with a boutique consulting firm in Melbourne specialising in CRM and outsourcing, he was involved in maturing ideas into full fledged business and raising capital. Sri has worked as an independent contractor with Australian banks and government, in roles as a Senior Analyst and Project Manager. He has helped a software development organisation in Melbourne, to find a strategic partner from to inject capital and enhance their development and delivery capacity.
