Who is it for?

This course is designed specifically for People Managers and Human Resource professionals from any industry or sector.
 

Course Description 

Productivity is significantly impacted by motivation levels. Although people are generally intrinsically motivated, that motivation is significantly impacted by a number of factors including their experience of their People Manager.  Motivation is also either built or eroded though people’s experience of their workplace.  This short course will cover some unique concepts around motivation and how to impact employee motivation in a positive way whether the employee is located on the other side of the room or the globe.

  • Sources of motivation
  • Source of de-motivation
  • Practices of highly effective people managers
 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course participants will be able to:
  • Understand the key elements to intrinsic and extrinsic motivation
  • Identify various sources of motivation for themselves and others
  • Identify various sources of motivation for themselves and others
  • Gain understanding of common practices of people managers which contribute to de-motivation
  • Apply the learning from the course to his/her own work/practice environment

    • The above course fees are applicable for participants based within Australia only. All course fees are inclusive of GST and they cover registration, course materials and meals during the course delivery.
    • To qualify for Early Bird registration fees, course fees must be paid to IDSS within the early bird registration deadline. Beyond that the regular fee will be applicable to all registrations including the existing ones which were not paid within the deadline.
    • Overseas participants will incur an additional fee of AU$40.00 (inclusive of GST) to cover the additional cost of processing overseas payments and registration. Please click here for further information relevant to overseas participants.
